Terms of use

The rules for using Traza+ and reusing its open data.

In plain words: Traza+ is free to use. Tell the truth, respect people's privacy, and don't misuse the data. The open data is yours to reuse with credit.

1. Using Traza+

Anyone can browse Traza+ and submit reports. By using the platform you agree to these terms and to our reporting guidelines. If you create an account, keep your sign-in details safe and tell us if you think someone else has used them.

2. What you agree not to do

  • Submit reports you know to be false, or for a school you have not visited.
  • Share photos that show identifiable children, or private spaces while in use.
  • Use Traza+ to harass, threaten or name individual teachers or pupils.
  • Try to identify anonymous reporters or bypass security.
  • Scrape the site in a way that slows it down for others. Use the open data downloads instead.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit. You give Traza+ a free, worldwide licence to review, anonymise, publish and share it for public-interest accountability. Published data is released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence, so anyone may reuse it with credit to Traza+.

4. Accuracy and verification

Scores reflect verified citizen reports and published budget data. We work hard to keep them accurate, but conditions change and coverage varies. Traza+ data is evidence for advocacy, not an official inspection result.

5. Corrections and right of reply

Schools, SBMCs and education authorities can request a correction or add a response to any published report. We review every request within 10 working days, and responses appear next to the original report.

6. Suspension and changes

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms. If we change the terms in a meaningful way, we will post a notice on the site 30 days before the change applies.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
